Video: Dmitry Hvorostovsky Spoke Frankly About His Health

The famous Russian opera singer Dmitry Hvorostovsky, who has been struggling with cancer for several years now, frankly spoke about his health and well-being. Despite the deterioration in health and pain, Dmitry, overcoming himself, goes to the viewer.

Now Dmitry mainly lives in London, but recently arrived in Moscow and dropped in to the doctors to investigate the injury. Then the media got nervous and trumpeted about Khvorstovsky's hospitalization. In fact, nothing supernatural happened. he just fell during a performance in St. Petersburg and injured his shoulder. Now he will have to wear a bandage for the next two months.
“In Moscow, I drove to the Sklifosovsky Institute to take an X-ray, but did not have time to cross the threshold of the hospital, Pavel Astakhov called me and asked what happened to me, because in all the news they trumpeted that I was hospitalized,” Dmitry laughs.
Hvorostovsky suspects that someone from medical institutions cooperates with the media, forgetting about medical and human ethics.
“What ethics! They did a head examination for me without my consent. I ask: "Why?" “We are interested,” they answer … And I quickly escaped from there. I will move, study, and in a few days my hand will work. Everything will be fine,”said the indignant singer.
In December 2016, due to pneumonia, Dmitry had to cancel the tour. He still feels the consequences of that illness. His condition was so deplorable that he categorically forbade his friends and even his parents to visit him. I didn't want to be seen like this. The only one who went to him constantly was his wife Florence.
“I am already giving concerts, but the process of recovering from this story is not over yet. This inflammation killed my lungs. I still need to be patient for a few months,”said Hvorostovsky.
Hvorostovsky is very pleased with his tour of his homeland. It is a great happiness for him to return to the stage. Previously, he moved in a wheelchair, now he can cope without it.
“Recovery depends primarily on a positive attitude and on the willingness to fight every day through pain, laziness and anything else! If you do not force yourself, the disease will triumph over you. You need to pull yourself out every day, every hour in all possible ways: exercises, children, smiles, love, - says Dmitry. - And grumble a little, too, is not forbidden."
