Viewers were shocked to see Claudia Conway in a preview of the upcoming episode of American Idol, but it turns out that music has been a part of her life for years. In a new TikTok video, she talks about how she got on the show. “They saw the video I posted as a joke about me singing and they said, 'Do you want to audition?' and I, to put it mildly, went crazy. Yeah. Who would have responded? Everyone thinks it's a publicity stunt or I'm trying to be … anyone … but music is my passion."

She also explained how important music is in her life. “I've been singing my whole life,” explained Claudia, whose mother is a former counselor. Donald Trump Kellianne Conway … “I grew up in musical theater. Music was one of the main foundations of my life, and without it I would not be here. I play about eight instruments. I've been doing this since birth. I know half of the world thinks I'm a joke because of my parents or some other foolish person, but I'm not a joke. I am almost 16 years old, I am passionate and trying to understand my future. This is a damn cool opportunity that I jumped at right away, because if the American Idol representatives approached you, you wouldn't say no.

Throughout 2020, Claudia made headlines for publicly speaking out against Trump despite her mom's loyalty to the former president. The drama between the mother-daughter duo went so far that Kellianne even stepped down from her position at the White House in August to focus on her family. Besides Claudia, Kellianne and her husband George Conway there are three more children (Claudia's twin George IV and two daughters Charlotte and Vanessa).

Viewers will have to wait until American Idol premieres to see if Claudia will impress the judges for the Golden Ticket to Hollywood. The show returns for its 19th season on February 14 at 8 p.m. on ABC. Fourth season in a row Luke Brian, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie will return as judges. The trio have been with the show since its ABC revival in 2018, after its previous show ended on Fox two years earlier.
