7 Days magazine got to Irina Allegrova and asked her what yummy she would pamper loved ones on New Year's Eve.

Irina remembered the culinary masterpieces made by her mother for the rest of her life - miniature “playing cards” made of black caviar with butter, five-tiered cakes decorated with colorful praline roses. Years later, the singer learned to cook all this herself, and for many years now, Irina cannot imagine a festive, and even more so New Year's, table without her own sweets - cakes and pies.

“Nowadays it is fashionable to celebrate the holidays by inviting chefs from the restaurant home. And for me, a family celebration without food prepared by the hostess of the house is unthinkable - after all, I put love for my loved ones into my “signature” dishes,”says Allegrova. - In the same way, I do not want to spend the New Year at work. No matter how much money is offered for performing “to the chimes,” communication with my family on this fabulous night is more precious for me … I am lucky: I have au pair and I am freed from the daily routine of preparing lunches and dinners. And cooking for me is not obligatory, but pleasure and exquisite creativity. This is why I never wear an apron in the kitchen. At the same time, I cannot stand at the stove for hours - there is never enough time. Therefore, I love quick recipes. Because of this, I rarely cook from yeast dough: I have no patience to wait until it rises (only for Easter I put a tub of dough in a heated bath)."

Allegrova decided to celebrate 2010 with her “signature” sponge cake with French custard, decorated with berries. He is adored by the daughter of the star Lala and grandson Sasha, who vied with each other to offer the hostess help in preparing the cake. But Irina only laughed: "We will taste the cake together, and I will not give up my place in the kitchen to anyone!" However, she still entrusted her relatives to decorate the cake.
