The ex-wife of rapper Andre Romell Young, better known by the pseudonym Dr. Dre, Nicole Young, details several experiences of violence at the hands of a music mogul in new court documents.

Five months after filing for divorce, 51-year-old Nicole claims that Dr. Dre “put a gun to my head” twice in 2000 and 2001, that he “punched me in the head and face” in 1999 and 2000, and that he “knocked down the door”while she hid“from his anger”in 2016, among other cases of abuse.

“André has verbally and emotionally devastated my personality to the point that I am currently suffering from PTSD,” she said in filings with the California Supreme Court.

A spokesperson for the 55-year-old rapper did not respond to requests for comment from local media, but Nicole's statements say that Dre told the court that "I never insulted Nicole or threatened her physical safety." What she describes can be regarded as "blatant lies" - and that she never called the police during their marriage.

While Nicole admits she never called a police patrol after they tied the knot, she said she called the police in 1995 (a year before their wedding) after Dr. me off the floor, while holding my neck with my hand."

“During our marriage, I thought about calling the police several times, but as I got deeper into the abusive relationship, my fear of Andre outweighed my belief that the police could help me,” she said she is.

Young's statements came just days after a California court ordered rapper Dre to pay her $ 2 million in spousal support. However, in court documents dated December 29, Nicole, who, together with Dr. Dre children: Truly, 20, and Truss, 24, asks for $ 100,000 a month to pay for a mortgage on a new home “comparable to our main residence in Brentwood,” as “Andre threatened” to leave me “homeless” is a direct threat our children”.
