In 2018, tragedy struck for the Demi family. She was found with an overdose in her own home in Los Angeles. The girl was already unconscious, in a dying state.
On that day, lying on the floor, she was found by her personal bodyguard. The man immediately called the medical staff, and before his arrival he provided first aid on his own, which also favorably affected the preservation of the life of the actress.
While Demi was undergoing rehabilitation, she developed complications typical of an overdose. She completely lost her voice and gained over 40 kg of excess weight.
The first time after the treatment, Lovato performed on stage in 2020. It was the Grammy Awards. Demi really appreciated the gesture of the organizers who allowed her to open the event.
