Former vocalist of the group "The Temptations" Bruce Williamson has died.

Williamson died Sunday night at his Las Vegas home after battling the COVID-19 coronavirus, TMZ reported. He was 49 years old.

“There are no words in the world that can express how I feel now,” his son Bruce wrote on Facebook. “I love you dad, thank you for being so amazing, thank you for loving, thank you for who you are, I pray to God and we will meet again. I love you Daddy REE KING WILLIAMSON."

On Monday, 28-year-old Bruce went live on Facebook with the caption: "Pain is not the right word."

“Many of us loved him,” he said in tears. "My dad was a great guy."

Bruce then sang the Reverend Paul Jones' gospel song "I Won't Complain" and a few more songs in tribute to his father.

“In my opinion, we have lost an iconic identity,” he said before ending the live broadcast. "I'm going to make sure his legacy continues."

Williamson joined The Temptations in 2006 and continued with the group until 2015. After leaving the band, he sang solo. He was scheduled to perform at a pay-per-view concert on September 12th.

“I never lost my dream of becoming a Temptation,” he told Chapter & Verse Network in 2016. “But I didn't want to be an imitation or someone who pretends to be their predecessors. I wanted to be myself."

Nevada has over 71,600 confirmed coronavirus cases and 1,389 deaths as of Monday, according to the state Department of Health and Human Services. Nationwide, 188,815 people have died from complications from COVID-19, according to The New York Times.
