Today, December 17, 2020, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin held a large press conference, where he answered questions from journalists

One of the journalists decided to ask if the head of the Russian Federation had been vaccinated against the Sputnik V coronavirus? Note that this vaccine was developed by Russian scientists, who claim that all clinical studies have been recorded.
Vladimir Vladimirovich answered this question without hesitation, honestly and without hiding the facts. The President of the Russian Federation did not vaccinate himself due to the fact that he does not fall under a certain age group in which vaccination is effective. At the same time, he insists that "Sputnik V" is a good and safe vaccine, it can and even should be done. Putin also said that when a vaccine is developed for his age, he will definitely be vaccinated.

On the one hand, the response of the head of state looks ordinary and does not arouse suspicion. However, on the other hand, discussions and conversations began on this matter. According to statements, back in August 2020, Vladimir Vladimirovich's godfather, citizen Viktor Medvedchuk, was vaccinated with the Sputnik V vaccine. If you believe the official data, at the moment Medvedchuk is 66 years old, and Putin is 68. So they both fall into the same age group, so it is not clear what the head of the Russian Federation meant when he named such a reason for refusing the domestic vaccine.
After Viktor Medvedchuk was vaccinated and passed the incubation period, he began to actively promote the Sputnik V vaccination in other countries, such as Ukraine and Turkey. The Ukrainian government perceived this proposal as a political instrument, therefore it aggressively refused. Turkey decided that the vaccine had not gone through a sufficient number of studies, so it also refused trial doses.
