Theater, film and television actor Timothy Chalamet recalls an unpleasant time in his life.
The actor explained his feelings in a new interview with a reporter for GQ magazine, in which he talks about widespread and highly publicized paparazzi photos of him and his ex-girlfriend Lily-Rose Depp kissing on the boat. The photos were taken after Chalamet and Depp together debuted their Netflix film The King at the Venice Film Festival and spent the next day relaxing on a yacht.
“I went to bed that night thinking it was one of the best days of my life,” said 24-year-old Chalamet. “I was on this boat all day with someone I really loved and with my eyes closed I was definitely happy. "That was great".
But the bliss ended the next morning when the photos hit the Internet and people started joking about the awkward pose Chalamet took to kiss Depp. Others wondered why the couple spoke so publicly about their romance.
“Then I wake up from all these pictures and feel embarrassed and look like a real“famous in quotes”person? Are both so pale? And then people are like, "This is a PR move." “PR move ?! Do you think I would like to look like this in front of all of you ?! "- added Chalamet.
The couple sparked rumors about their relationship in October 2018 after meeting during the filming of The King. Fan social media accounts have linked Shalame and Depp - the daughter of Johnny Depp and his ex-wife, Vanessa Paradis - and pointed to photos of the couple as evidence.
