Kim Kardashian spoke about the "big fight" that happened with her husband Kanye West over whether their six-year-old daughter North should be allowed to wear makeup.
Kim Kardashian, 39, sat down to talk about her life, including her relationship with her husband, 42-year-old Kanye West and their four children, on the Australian talk show The Sunday Project and explained why her opinion about children's makeup changed after of how her daughter North sparked a little controversy over cosmetics. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star admitted that after allowing 6-year-old North to wear makeup multiple times a day, it sparked a "big fight" between her and Kanye and led a worried father to forbid his kids to wear makeup. him until they come of age. Although she originally thought differently, she now feels that babies and makeup are not compatible.
“As far as makeup goes, I don't think a child needs makeup either,” she said in an interview that aired on November 24. She also admitted to talking to her friends and sisters and seeking advice about the problem. “I think sometimes, if you don’t understand the rules, it’s helpful to study and ask your friends. In my case, [I asked] my brothers and sisters, what are they going to do?”She explained, before confirming that an agreement was soon struck between her and Kanye. “We combine ideas and design the way we go to the parents and the rules that we have. And we must always stick to one line,”she said.
In addition to Kanye's controversy over North's makeup, Kim ran into a serious mom who supported the idea of using makeup for the girl. After she posted a photo of her outing with North wearing eye and face makeup in October 2018, followers quickly responded with criticism. “She's five years old,” one subscriber wrote, while another added, “Stop letting this kid wear makeup. And even worse, it's two shades lighter. Help her find her natural beauty better, as a young princess should do."
It's nice to know that Kim and Kanye, who also have a common 3-year-old son Saint, a one-year-old son of Chicago and a six-month-old son Psalm, figured out when to allow or forbid their children to wear makeup. Perhaps the upcoming holidays will be an exception? We're guessing we'll have to wait and see!
