Justin Bieber sings about the behind-the-scenes details of their marriage to Hailey Baldwin on his new album, Justice
There was a lot of love for Hayley Bieber (née Baldwin) on Justice, Justin Bieber's new album. While 27-year-old Justin has already shown affection and appreciation for 24-year-old Haley on the single "Holy", he paid even more tribute to their romance in several songs on the new 16-track new album. However, one of the hottest songs on this track list is "Unstable". As the song title suggests, it's an ode to the time Justin felt "unstable" … to the point of trying to scare off his wife.
“Sometimes I feel like I think too much / And I start to feel anxiety / There were times when I couldn't even breathe / But you never left me,” Justin sings at the beginning of the song. Justin even sings that he tried to "scare Haley away" and show her "at the door", but still the model's love for the pop star did not shake.
Justin explained how Hayley inspired the song in an interview prior to the album's release. "One of the tracks on the album is called 'Unstable', and for me it's a really emotional song because I was in a really, really bad shape, maybe a year ago," Justin told The Sun. He added, "Fortunately, my wife was by my side during all of this, and so the whole point of the song is," You loved me even when I was unstable."
“She really held me back and, you know, just kept loving me through the really tough, tough season I was in,” Justin continued. He also hopes that the song will "like" his fans, as he believes other people have been "in the same position."
Hayley has also been a muse for songs such as "2 Much" ("Love the way you love your mom / Solve all your friends' problems"); “Love You Different” (“I will love you differently / as you are”); and “Loved By You” (“I remember when we started dating / The only thing you and I were chasing / Love they couldn't play with”). As you can see, Justin is very fond of his wife, with whom he will celebrate his third wedding anniversary in September 2021.
