But, Taylor Swift so skillfully shook off the embarrassment at the 2021 Grammy that we almost missed her dress on the red carpet.
The superstar, who has entered six nominations this year and scored a major album win of the year, arrived in an airy long-sleeved Oscar de lRent mini dress completely covered in various types of floral appliqués.
The dress, embroidered with pressed flowers that were “attached individually”, was so “delicate” that at some point at night a seam ripped under her right hand.
When she returned to the red carpet to pose with her award for her work on Forklore, the cutout was visible as she held her prize. But being an absolute professional, she "forgot that it exists" when she smiled at the cameras.
