The Star Of The Show "Dancing With The Stars" Whitney Carson Hesitated For A Long Time To Publish Her Changed Body After Childbirth

Whitney Carson reflects on how her body has changed 11 weeks after the birth of her son.

On Saturday, the 27-year-old professional choreographer and dancer of the Dancing with the Stars project shared photos of herself in a sports bra and leggings, showing the abdomen both in front and in profile. “Progress, not perfection, as a dancer, growing up and even in adulthood (especially in adulthood), I have always been self-conscious about my weight and how I looked,” Whitney shared on Instagram.

Carson and her husband Carson McAllister had their first child, son Kevin Leo, on January 3.

“I struggled with this, and therefore I hesitated to publish these photos for a long time - I did not feel that I looked properly, 'good enough', and it was a sad thought for me,” continued the winner of the Mirrorball Trophy.

“I am learning to appreciate my body as it is now and to celebrate small gains in a HEALTHY body, spirit and mind,” concluded Carson.

She also thanked her fans and followers who "commented on this photo" by writing, "Thanks for the amazing, inspiring and cute messages."

Carson's best friend and new mom Lindsay Arnold (ed. Lindsay was her matron of honor at their wedding ceremony on January 1, 2016), who is also a DWTS professional, shared an encouraging message in the comments section. “You are amazingly smart and the best mom for little Leo,” wrote Arnold. "He's so lucky to have you."

DWTS pro and Peta's mom Murgatroyd also wrote, "You look so adorable, FIRE !!"
