For a long time, singer Gwen Stefani worked in the No Doubt team, so she is used to working in a team. She is now a solo artist who lacks support from the outside
Singer Gwen Stefani recently guest-starred on The First One podcast. In a conversation with the host of the show, they talked about the creative process, namely, writing songs for albums. The celebrity is currently performing as a solo singer, so she has to write songs for her CDs on her own. However, the celebrity says that she really likes to write together with her beloved Blake Shelton. The man is also a musician who is famous in country performer circles. Unfortunately for Gwen, the future husband doesn't really like writing songs with her. Why? The artist explained.
“I would really like to write songs with him, but he doesn't want to do it anymore. You know that we have only three songs together. He just doesn't like to take on new material so often. And it pisses me off " - the singer admits laughing.
Note that Gwen and Blake have few co-written songs, but they are very popular among fans: Go Ahead and Break My Heart, You Make It Feel Like Christmas and Nobody But You.
Stephanie also admits that for many years of work in the No Doubt team, she is very used to working not alone. For her, working with someone was truly enjoyable. She created her songs together with the whole team.
“Now I write songs myself, but I'm very used to acting in a team, so I still need at least someone nearby. Blake and I sat down yesterday and started listening to a lot of songs. We were guided by the opinion of each other. I know I can completely rely on his musical taste. He knows all genres of songs very well. And she also has a direct nose for which song will become a hit, and which one is just very good and people will like it. In my career, I am very guided by him” - Stephanie admits.
By the way, there is some good news for No Doubt fans as well. Gwen does not exclude the possibility that one day their group will recover and release albums again.
“It's possible, but it's a very big deal. I very often think of the music that we made together. You see, when I write new songs, create new music, I always analyze what I have done before. Of course, it is very strange and surprising to think about rebuilding a team that has existed for so long. But I do not even approximately know what may await us in the future. Do you understand? It is simply impossible to predict” - gave hope to Stephanie.
